Adding Cookie & GDPR Manager to a WordPress website is simple. With the help of a plugin, you can seamlessly integrate and manage your privacy and cookie policy, terms and conditions, and cookie banner – all directly from your WordPress dashboard.
The plugin also helps you identify and block cookies based on a standardized blocklist. This is an important part of GDPR compliance, where visitors must be able to choose whether non-essential cookies are allowed.
Note: The plugin automatically blocks scripts generated server-side (e.g., via PHP in WordPress). However, scripts added via JavaScript after the page has loaded are not automatically blocked.

Install the iubenda WordPress plugin
Start by logging in to your WordPress admin panel:
- Go to Plugins → Add New
- Search for the iubenda plugin
- Click Install Now
- Activate the plugin
Once activated, you’ll find the settings in your WordPress dashboard.
There, you’ll see a page similar to the one below. The WordPress plugin scans your website and provides an assessment based on your site’s specific needs.
Now that you’ve installed the WordPress plugin, it’s time to link it to your active iubenda products. Click “Help me get compliant!”
In the first step of the configuration process, click “I’ve already made the setup on iubenda.com”.
Paste the embed code for your privacy and cookie policy (required). Then repeat the process for any additional products you’ve configured in your Cookie & GDPR Manager account.
Once completed, the plugin will automatically sync with your active products.

After completing the initial setup, you’ll have full control over all your iubenda products via the iubenda option in your WordPress admin panel.
You can enable or disable each service individually or click the Configure buttons to adjust styles and settings for each product.
