Setting up MX records

Even if your domain is registered with another provider, it is still possible to use e-mail services with us. This is done by adjusting your domain’s MX records.

What MX records should I use?

  • Subdomain @
  • Value – mx10.websupport.se
  • Priority – 10
  • TTL – 600
  • Subdomain @
  • Value – mx20.websupport.se
  • Priority – 100
  • TTL – 600

Remember that it takes up to 24 hours before this takes effect. You also need to manually move any emails from previous providers as these are not included automatically. Here is a guide for moving emails to us.

SPF record (Added as TXT)

  • Subdomain @
  • Value – v=spf1 a mx include:spf.websupport.se ?all
  • TTL – 600

We recommend taking the opportunity to add the SPF record in connection with adding the MX records. Partly to secure your domain from spoofing attempts, but also to increase delivery security. You can read more about this in our guide to SPF records.
