Domain transfer <\/strong>is the process where you move one domain from your registrar to another. This means that the annual renewal of the domain is handled by another party. When the domain transfer is completed, the owner of the domain receives an email confirming this. The domain is then administered by the new registrar, in its control panel.<\/p>\n\n

Who is a registrar?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Most often, the registrar is the provider you turned to when you registered domains. If you are unsure, the easiest way to check this is through a WHOIS lookup on the internet. <\/p>\n\n

How do I change registrar?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

If you want to transfer your domain to us, you only need to fill in an order for the domain in our control panel. The transfer fee is the amount of the domain price for 1 year. With the completion of the domain transfer, the domain will be extended by 1 year from the current expiry date.To transfer the domain, you need the domain’s EPP code\/Auth code that you get from your current registrar. You enter the code when you place the order in our control panel.<\/p>\n\n

What do I need to change my registrar?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n
  • EPP code\/authorization code \u2013 <\/strong>Security code for each domain provided by the registrar. It is usually picked up via your registrar’s admin interface.<\/li>
  • Own the domain you want to transfer \u2013 <\/strong>Domain transfer can only be performed by the domain owner. If you do not own the domain, a domain owner change needs to be completed first.<\/li>
  • The current e-mail address <\/strong>associated with the domain. This is because validation email is sent there.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n

    Once you have approved the order, an invoice for the transfer will be sent to your e-mail address, if the domain type being transferred requires payment. When the payment for the transfer\/renewal arrives at us, the transfer process itself is initiated. A domain transfer usually takes no more than 10-15 minutes to complete, and you can administer your domain in our control panel immediately after completion.<\/p>\n\n

    Change registrar for gTLD (.com, .net, .info, .org,\u2026) <\/h2>\n\n

    When transferring gTLD, there is another step in the transfer process. When the transfer is initiated, a validation email is sent to the domain owner’s registered email address. This email must be confirmed otherwise the transfer doesn’t start. After confirmation, it takes up to 5 working days before the transfer is completed.<\/p>\n\n
